Chief Accountant


Responsibilities

  • Compliance: Ensuring that the company is compliant with the Law on Accounting, local authorities' regulations, and other laws and regulations
  • Financial reporting: Preparing financial statements, internal reports, and budgets, and ensuring they are accurate and timely
  • Tax compliance: Overseeing tax obligations, including timely submissions and adherence to local tax laws
  • Audits: Leading the response to audits, both internal and external, and providing support throughout
  • Internal controls: Establishing internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud
  • Liaison: Acting as a liaison between the company and authorities, such as tax authorities, accounting advisors, internal/external auditors, sponsors, and lenders
  • Management: Providing insights and analysis to support management decisions

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification is highly preferred
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of Vietnamese accounting standards (VAS) and tax regulations.
  • Knowledge of US tax compliance is plus
  • At least 6 years of accounting experience
  • Training for a Certificate of Chief Accountant
  • Proficiency in relevant knowledge, skills, and ethics
