Chief Accountant
Responsibilities
- Compliance: Ensuring that the company is compliant with the Law on Accounting, local authorities' regulations, and other laws and regulations
- Financial reporting: Preparing financial statements, internal reports, and budgets, and ensuring they are accurate and timely
- Tax compliance: Overseeing tax obligations, including timely submissions and adherence to local tax laws
- Audits: Leading the response to audits, both internal and external, and providing support throughout
- Internal controls: Establishing internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud
- Liaison: Acting as a liaison between the company and authorities, such as tax authorities, accounting advisors, internal/external auditors, sponsors, and lenders
- Management: Providing insights and analysis to support management decisions
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification is highly preferred
- Fluency in English is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of Vietnamese accounting standards (VAS) and tax regulations.
- Knowledge of US tax compliance is plus
- At least 6 years of accounting experience
- Training for a Certificate of Chief Accountant
- Proficiency in relevant knowledge, skills, and ethics
